We're Funding the Cure
Keeping your Mind - the practical guide to preventing Alzheimer's
Our community outreach program, which is currently unsupported by any grants – meaning we fund it entirely between your generous donations and ours … helps you prevent or slow this disease. Outcomes are already very promising that the lifestyle changes we are recommending are making meaningful impacts. And our content is absolutely no where else. So please join us in this journey back toward better thinking!

Alzheimer's and Brain Awareness Month
Wearing the color purple as often as possible throughout the month of June shows you support all the good work being done by doctors, researchers, nonprofit public charities (like ours) and other Alzheimer's support organizations. Think to make a donation to encourage us to keep up the long fight to win over this horrible disease!

Donate today to help fund an Alzheimer's Cure!

Where your donation goes:
When donating to the Curing Alzheimer's Disease Foundation (either online or through a mailed check), you will be supporting Alzheimer's research into finding a cure. The Alzheimer's Legacy Lab at the University of Minnesota, which is the only lab we fund, uses every single dollar you donate for their scientific work - and nothing else. This is different from any other donation you'll make toward research, and is made possible by our foundation's choice to cover all administrative expenses so your impact can go twice as far!
Our 501c3 nonprofit is DAF compliant!

The CAD Foundation is dedicated to finding the cure for Alzheimers
The CAD Foundation supports one single lab from hypothesis to conclusion. The Alzheimer's Legacy Lab at the University of Minnesota is actively researching the Infectious Hypothesis for Alzheimer's - specifically, the interrelation between gum disease and Alzheimer's disease and how bacteria from our mouth is getting into the brains of individuals with Alzheimer's and appears to play a pivotal role in the devastating damage to the brain. This is truly an exciting - and HOPEFUL - time in the field of Alzheimer's. And we are so excited to have your help.

What Makes us different
Alzheimer’s is unraveling lives — and yet, after decades and billions spent, we’re no closer to a cure. The biggest institutions haven’t solved it. And maybe they can’t. Maybe they’ve become too big, too slow — maybe even too dependent on the disease itself.
We’re approaching this from a different angle. Our foundation is lean, focused, and fiercely committed. We’re funding a bold line of research into Alzheimer’s as an infectious, microbial disease — something NIH has declined to support, even though we have the brain of a patient whose symptoms reversed dramatically on antimicrobial treatment. That brain is now preserved at the University of Minnesota. It holds answers, and we intend to find them.
We are an all-volunteer team. We don’t do this for prestige or profit. We do it because we’ve seen what this disease takes — and because we believe the science must be seen through.
Your support won’t get lost in overhead or bureaucracy. It will accelerate real, time-sensitive research — the kind that might shift the future of Alzheimer’s altogether. We don’t just hope there’s a cure. We believe it’s findable. And we’re not going to stop until we find it.
Thanks you. Anna Shelander, co-founder and president of the CAD Foundation
