Why We’re Unique
The First Documented Case of Symptom Reversal
Dr. David E. Crandall, DDS, is the visionary behind the Curing Alzheimer’s Disease Foundation—quite literally the brain behind our mission. Despite being diagnosed with the most severe stage of Alzheimer’s disease, Dr. Crandall’s brain was remarkably different upon autopsy, defying expectations associated with dementia and Alzheimer progression. Initially believed to be due to exceptional genetics, further investigation revealed he had been following a unique medication protocol for years. This self-administered regimen is now considered one of the most promising clues in the search for an Alzheimer’s disease cure. His treatment approach is currently under study at The Alzheimer’s Legacy Lab at the University of Minnesota, contributing to groundbreaking Alzheimer research. Dr. Crandall’s story not only challenges traditional assumptions about dementia diagnosis and risk factors for dementia, but also offers real hope that effective Alzheimer’s treatment—or even a cure—may be within reach.
